Roger Nevares posee la combinación
ideal de conocimientos para entrenar actores bilingües
de la comunidad artística de Miami. El mismo
fue entrenado como Actor y Maestro de Actores en Moscú,
en el Departamento de Actuación del Instituto
de Cinematografía Estatal de Toda Rusia, de
donde se gradúa con Diploma Rojo de Excelencia
del Programa de Maestría en Bellas Artes; despues
continuo sus estudios en Harvard University con Anatoly
Smeliansky, el editor-en-jefe de la mas reciente edicion
de las Obras Completas de K. S. Stanislavsky. Fue
Profesor Titular por cinco años en la Escuela
Nacional de Arte Teatral del Instituto Nacional de
Bellas Artes y Profesor de Asignatura en el Colegio
de Literatura Dramática y Teatro de la Facultad
de Filosofía y Letras en la Universidad Nacional
Autónoma de México.
Se ha mantenido activo como actor,
sus más recientes créditos incluyen
al borracho y rechoncho Padre Galván en la
película Mexicana nominada para un Oscar y
un Globo de Oro “El Crimen del Padre Amaro”,
y el irresponsable Alcalde Enrique Sánchez
en el thriller “Deadly Swarm”. En ocasiones
es requerido para “coachear” a otros miembros
del reparto en producciones televisivas en las que
actúa, como es el caso de la telenovela de
TELEMUNDO/ARGOS “Cara o Cruz”. Su dominio
absoluto no solo del idioma Ruso y del Español,
su lengua natal, sino también del Ingles, le
permiten ejercer en uno de los países con más
antigua tradición actoral, el Reino Unido,
como Senior Acting Tutor and Director de la Birmingham
School of Speech & Drama, miembro fundador de
la Conference of Drama Schools. Su más reciente
logro como Director de Escena fue trabajar con 12
actores, interpretando 30 papeles, en la adaptación
de Tom Hulce de la novela épica de John Irving
“The Cider House Rules” en el Crescent
Theatre de Birmingham.
El Taller Intensivo de Actuación
de cuatro semanas (del 4 al 29 de Agosto), de sesiones
diarias de cuatro horas, será de especial interés
para aquellos actores que quieran mejorar sus habilidades
interpretativas, y ser evaluados en Ingles y en Español,
particularmente para aquellos que quieran pulir su
Standard American English o su Español Mexicano
Estandar. El curso culminara con la presentación
publica de escenas sobre las que se trabajara en el
Curso, las cuales deberán presentar un reto
histriónico para el interprete, en el idioma
que el artista elija. Los artistas tendrán
incluso la posibilidad de presentar escenas en ambos
idiomas! Juzgue usted mismo si además de Roger

nocturno esta diseñado para actores profesionales,
también habrá un curso por la tarde
para actores noveles.

Roger Nevares has the ideal combination
of varied expertise for training bilingual Actors
in the Miami artistic community: He himself was trained
as an Actor and an Acting Teacher in Moscow at the
Acting Department of the All-Russia State Institute
of Cinematography, where he received a Red Diploma
of Excellence together with his Master of Fine Arts
Degree; he then went on to study at Harvard University
with Anatoly Smeliansky, the editor-in chief of the
latest edition of the Complete Works of K. S. Stanislavsky;
for five years he was Senior Acting Teacher at the
Escuela Nacional de Arte Teatral of the Instituto
Nacional de Bellas Artes and at the Colegio de Literatura
Dramatica y Teatro de la Facultad de Filosofia y Letras
en la Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico.
Himself an active working actor,
his latest credits including boozy, overweight Padre
Galvan in the Oscar and Golden-Globe nominated Mexican
film “El Crimen del Padre Amaro”, and
irresponsible Mayor Enrique Sanchez in the thriller
“Deadly Swarm”. He is often also asked
to coach other members of the cast in television productions
where he himself performs, like the TELEMUNDO/ARGOS
Telenovela “Cara o Cruz”. His absolute
command not only of Spanish, his native tongue, and
Russian, but of English also, have permitted him to
work in a country with one of the oldest and most
respected Acting traditions, the United Kingdom, as
Senior Full-Time Acting Tutor and Director of the
Birmingham School of Speech & Drama, founding
member of the National Conference of Drama Schools.
His latest credit as a Theatre Director is working
with twelve actors playing thirty roles in Tom Hulce’s
adaptation of John Irving’s epic novel “The
Cider House Rules” at the Crescent Theatre in
Birmingham.
The four-weeks-of-daily-four-hour-sessions
(August 4-29) Intensive Acting Workshop, should be
of special interest to actors who wish to better their
acting abilities and be evaluated in English and in
Spanish, particularly those who wish to polish their
Standard American English or their Standard Mexican
Spanish; the course will end with a public presentation
of scenes of an especially challenging nature, selected
for this purpose to be worked on during the course,
and performed in the language of the Actor’s
choice. The artists will also be offered the possibility
of performing in both languages! Judge yourself if
anyone other than Roger Nevares will ever be able
to offer such a course. An evening course will be
offered for more experienced performers and an afternoon
course for younger or less experienced actors will
be available too.
